Ann Sanford

Ann Sanford

Chair

Meet Ann Sanford, who grew up in Wisconsin with eight brothers and one sister.   She attended UWS, majoring in elementary education with a minor in early childhood development and Spanish. She met her husband, Paul, on a blind date in 1992. Shortly after their marriage, she joined her local Alliance and has been an active member since.
Ann has served on the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra board, the Duluth Children’s Museum board, the local PBS Community Advisory board, and volunteered at her children’s schools throughout their education.
With her children now grown and graduated, Ann enjoys spending her time volunteering, gardening, knitting, cross-stitching, and reading.

Currently, Ann is the assistant to the business manager at her church office and AHEI’s chair.

Nancy Schneider

Treasurer

Nancy lives in Stockton, California, with her husband, Edward, a retired Family Practice physician. They have two sons and 4 grandchildren, 3 boys and 1 girl.

She has been a member of the trifecta (local, state, and national) since 1974. She was invited to join the alliance by members of the local alliance. She has found many friendships and support with all three alliances; state and national participation was a natural progression.

She has found that the alliance is an organization that not only extends friendship, but also is an organization that solves problems and looks for solutions both in and out of the box.

She has played tennis for years.
Her other love is cooking and trying new recipes, especially when having friends over.

Nancy served as the 2025-2026 AHEI treasurer and volunteered as treasurer this year, 2026-2027.
