Small nonprofits are the engines of their communities.
Since our inception in 2012, the purpose of the Alliance Health Education Initiative has been to promote community health, education and related charitable endeavors in collaboration with the American Medical Association Alliance (AMA Alliance) and its affiliated state, county, and parish Alliances, in addition to other health-oriented civic and charitable community groups.
We recognize that these smaller organizations can often be overlooked by larger foundations and corporations and that’s where AHEI strives to fill the gap. Drawing on a nationwide network of donors, we provide funding for programs as relevant and timely as the opioid epidemic, immigrant health, food insecurity, and health care worker mental and physical well-being. Our interest and reach is limitless.
